The musical home for all things George...

Welcome To GeorgeHyde.net

Welcome to GeorgeHyde.net the musical home for all things George! This website however you ended up here, whether from word of mouth, a Google search, a link from my Facebook page or scanning the QR code from one of my guitar picks is going to be the place where you can get to know me and see what I'm up to.

Right now, the site is a work in progress and is an overhaul from what my original site was when I designed it! A lot has happened in my life, the music scene, and the world so it’s time to start new and fresh! But briefly I am a product of Hardrock and Metal music from the late 70's and 80's. I make no bones or excuses about it and this site will certainly reflect that and show you my world. So, as I update the content and get it together, also follow me through the social media links at the bottom of the page! If anything doesn’t work or appears "fook'd", please email me so I can fix em'...

That said, the Facebook icon links you to my personal Facebook page, the YouTube icon links you to my YouTube channel which has some of my favorite links and subscriptions, and the Twitter icon well what else is there to say about that except that it links you to my Twitter account! And lastly, the iTunes icon links you to my old band Scarlet Embrace in Apple Music. If you subscribe, then you'll be able to stream and listen to "Present Addiction". Enjoy the album in its entirety!

So have fun and enjoy reading up on my musical journey and assorted stories as I progress on the site. That said until we meet again, keep rockin' and "\m/ UP THE IRONS \m/"!

Updated ~ May 3rd 2021

Hi everyone and thanks for continuing to visit! This week I put the finishing touches on rewriting and adding my Biography page to the site. It took me a while and multiple drafts but I think it reads and flows much better than what it did.

I also got my custom printed guitar picks shown above from SteveClayton.com and they look fabulous! I think every guitar player should have their own picks printed up. It's a great way to promote yourself or your band! I firmly believe that if you give someone a pick with the address to your Facebook or your Website or whatever your promoting, you will inpress leave a lasting impression worth more than a thousand words. Way better than a business card and way more personal and impressive! Have you ever been to a concert and caught a guitar pick or drum stick from the stage? That little souvenir is priceless!

Tip Of The Week

I'll also be writing a little column here called "Tip Of The Week". I'll go over things that I think will help you out with your playing. And if you have any suggestions for things you think you'd like to read about that might be helpful just drop me an email to: george@georgehyde.net, and type "Tip Of The Week" without the quotes in the subject of the email.
